A Sunday Roast - chicken

Not the most straightforward of Sunday lunches, kozee kottage isn't exactly known for it's space and with a washing machine stood in middle of kitchen, the entire under-sink-cupboard emptied over the floor and Jeff on his hands and knees (fitting the washing machine before you say owt) it wasn't exactly the most accommodating of situations in which to cook. The carving of the chicken to discover it was raw was a particular low point. However, despite the more than shaky start my roasted chicken with lemon and thyme, roast potatoes, roast red onion and parsnips, sautéed courgette and steamed cabbage was actually delicious. Hooray I CAN cook after all! Can't take credit for the gravy though. That was down to The Snake.
